Important: Before you begin

||| Meta has the following requirements before you can connect your Instagram account to any 3rd-party tool like Repurpose.io.

Please follow these steps in order and you'll be up and running in no time.

Convert your Instagram account from Personal to Professional Creator or Professional Business
Connect your Instagram Account to your Facebook Page (you must also be the admin of this page).

1. Convert Your Personal Instagram to Professional

Visit Instagram.com on your computer browser (not mobile app)
Click the 3 lines (More) on the bottom left
Click Settings
Scroll to the bottom and choose "Switch to professional account"
Choose "Creator" or "Business"

| If you would like to use trending audios with your Professional Business Account, simply set your business Category to "Entrepreneur"

Instagram Reels publishing for some Instagram Creator accounts: Meta test program available now

We’re partnering with Meta on a test where a randomized, small subset of creator accounts will be able to publish content directly through our platform.

If you are eligible, we are so excited to have you as a participant in this test and cannot wait for all the high-quality content you will publish and schedule through our platform. Because this is a limited test, participants may not share anything publicly about this experience.

If you are not eligible, do not worry! We will share more about this feature when we plan on making it widely available.

Historically with Repurpose, in order to publish to Instagram you had to use an Instagram Business account. With this special test program, Meta is allowing a small subset of Creator accounts to publish directly to Reels through Repurpose.

If you are eligible for this test program - you'll be able to publish directly to a Instagram creator account. With a creator account you may have access to features just for creators such as: Instagram Subscriptions, Branded Content Partnerships and creator marketplace. Check all the features here.

Does Repurposing and Scheduling Content Hurt My Views?

Question: I’m trying to grow the social media accounts for my platforms, but I’ve heard that using scheduling/3rd party tools can cause low engagement and reach. Is this true?

The short answer is: the data says no. Consistency is more likely to raise your reach and audience engagement — which is the primary service offered by third-party scheduling/repurposing tools. However, this myth will always persist based on who you ask.

How do we know scheduling tools are not likely the culprit of low engagement?

Organic reach is the number of eyes on your content without you paying to reach a specific audience. Unlike ads, organic posts aren’t targeted to specific audiences, so they rely on the social network’s algorithm.

While we don’t know all the details of how algorithms work (each platform is drastically different), we do know that one of the main goals is to keep people scrolling on the platform so that they see more ads. The formula is more ads seen = more money for the platform you are posting on.

What does this mean for you?

The algorithm rewards high engagement, which is directly linked to consistency for many social media users. This means that the more active you are, the more your engagement and reach increase. While the algorithm considers multiple factors, it doesn’t seem to disfavor third-party posts.

Calendar Feature Overview

Inside the Repurpose.io dashboard, you will notice a new icon called CALENDAR on the left.

Just click on that. In a few moments, the calendar will be on the screen. Inside the calendar, you'll see all your already published content plus your scheduled content.

There are different ways to view your scheduled content. You can look at it on a monthly view. You can also check it out on a weekly view, and you do need to move forward or backward to the week. And also you can check it by the day.

Quickly View Published and Scheduled Content

Your calendar will display your already published and scheduled content from all your workflows (such as YouTube to Facebook, TikTok to YouTube Shorts, TikTok to Instagram Reels, etc) with the icons. When you hover your mouse over one of these scheduled items, it gives you a glimpse of what that content is.

Edit and Reschedule Your Content

If you click one, it will show you the “schedule settings.” You can update the post title and description, preview the video, and even update the scheduled date.

Add a Snapchat Connection

Visit the Connections page inside your Repurpose account.
Click the Add New Connection button on the top right
Choose Snapchat
Log in with your Snapchat credentials in the popup.

Repurpose your content from ALL your social platforms to Snapchat Spotlight

Automatically publish all your videos and audios (past and future) to Snapchat as Spotlights.

Create a workflow using any of your Source connections (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Audio Podcast, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc)
Set the Action as Upload Video -> Full Video or Snippets (Clips)
Choose Snapchat as the Destination select the Public Profile you want to publish to and choose type Spotlight

Known limitations imposed by Snapchat

Vertical videos only up to 60 seconds
Letterboxing is not supported
