Repurpose Integrates Directly with Instagram. Here’s an updated overview of the most frequently asked questions and troubleshooting tips to help you get the most out of the integration.

⚠️ Your Instagram account must be set to Professional—either Creator or Business. Both work with Reels, but if you want to use Stories, your account must be set to Business.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I publish directly to Instagram?

Yes! Instagram can now be used as a Destination to publish videos directly from Repurpose to both Reels and Stories.

ℹ️ Carousel posts and static images aren’t supported yet, but coming soon!

Can I use Instagram as a Source?

Absolutely! You can repurpose your public Instagram Reels and Stories across other platforms.

ℹ️ Remixes and collaborative posts where you're not the original creator aren't supported.

Is there a limit to the length of videos I can post to Instagram via Repurpose?

Yes. Instagram supports Reels up to 15 minutes long and Stories up to 60 seconds (these limits are set by Meta).

Does Repurpose remove the Instagram watermark?

Yes. Repurpose pulls the original version of the video before Instagram adds the watermark.

⚠️ If your video already had a watermark before being uploaded to Instagram, it can’t be removed, as it’s part of the original file. For best results, upload or create your videos without any watermark applied in advance.

How to Remove or Edit Instagram Permissions from Your Account

To revoke access or edit permissions for your Instagram account:

  1. Make sure you're logged into the desired Instagram account on the website, then head to the following link: https://www.instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/
  2. Find the Repurpose integration and remove it.

To reauthorize and choose permissions again:

  1. Go to the Connections tab in Repurpose.
  2. Click the three-dot menu next to your Instagram connection and select Reconnect.
  3. Log in to the desired Instagram account, and on the permission screen, select the access you’d like to grant (we recommend allowing all), then click Allow.

How to Add a Second Instagram Account

You can add a second Instagram account from two places:

  • The Connections page: Click Add a New Connection (top right) and select Instagram.
  • The Workflow creation page: After selecting Instagram as a Source or Destination, choose "Add new Instagram account."
