Connect Your Instagram Account

You can connect your Instagram account either during workflow setup or from the Connections page. The connection process is the same in both cases.

1. Create a New Workflow or open the Connections page.
2. Select Instagram.
3. If prompted, log in to the desired account. If you're not prompted, the account that is already logged in on the Instagram website will be recognized and used by default.
4. Make sure all permissions are granted.
5. Click Allow to complete the connection.

Important Notes:

• Your Instagram account must be set to Professional—either Creator or Business. Both work with Reels, but if you want to use Stories, your account must be set to Business.
• If Instagram recognizes the wrong account, log in to the desired account on the Instagram website before connecting, or use Switch Account from the three-dot menu in the authorization window to sign in to the correct account.
• If you have multiple Instagram accounts under the same email, use the username instead of the email when logging in. Using the email may default to the primary account.

Connect using Facebook (if you don’t have IG credentials)

If your Instagram account was created using Facebook and you don’t have separate Instagram login credentials:

1. Go to Connections → Add a New Connection → Instagram
2. Open Advanced settings in the pop-up
3. Select Connect via Facebook
4. Log in with your Facebook account and authorize access

Important Notes:

For this method, the IG account needs to be linked to a FB business page where you are an admin, as access is granted through it. Whenever possible, it’s best to connect directly through Instagram.

How to Connect a Second Instagram Account

Connecting a second Instagram account follows the same process as connecting your first Instagram account. The only difference is that you'll need to log in to the Instagram account you want to add before starting the connection process.

Before You Start

Repurpose automatically detects the Instagram account that is currently logged in on the Instagram website. To avoid connecting the wrong account, make sure you're signed in to the Instagram account you want to connect before starting the connection process.

If the Wrong Account Appears During Authorization

If the authorization window displays a different Instagram account than the one you want to connect:

1. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the authorization pop-up.
2. Select Switch Account.
3. Sign in to the Instagram account you want to connect.
4. Continue the authorization process.
