This article explains how scheduling works in Repurpose, including the difference between manual scheduling and automatic scheduling.

Important: Content Must Come From a Source Platform

Repurpose does not currently support directly uploading video or media files into the platform.

All content must come from a connected source platform. A source platform is any connected app or service where your original content is stored or published. Repurpose pulls content from these connected sources and republishes it according to your workflow settings.

If your goal was to upload a file directly into Repurpose, the closest alternative is to use a cloud storage service like Google Drive or Dropbox as your source platform. This is especially useful if you do not want your video to be publicly available on a social media platform.

Two Ways to Schedule Content

Repurpose allows you to schedule content in two different ways:

1. Manual Scheduling, best for specific posts and dates
2. Automatic Scheduling, best for ongoing automated publishing

Option 1: Manual Scheduling

Manual scheduling is ideal when you want full control over exactly which post gets published and when.

Important: Manual scheduling applies to individual posts, not the entire workflow.

Steps

1. Open your workflow.
2. Find the specific post you want to schedule.
3. Click the Schedule button next to that post.
4. Choose your preferred publication date and time.
5. Confirm the schedule.

You can repeat these steps for each individual post you want to publish later.

Option 2: Automatic Scheduling (Auto Publish content based on a schedule)

Automatic scheduling allows Repurpose to automatically publish content based on a recurring schedule. This is the best option if you want content to be published without manually scheduling every post.

Important Auto Publish Limit

Automatic scheduling supports a maximum of 5 publishing slots per day. One piece of content is published per scheduled slot. This means the maximum number of videos that can be automatically published using this mode is 5 videos per day.

If you need to publish more than 5 videos in a single day, you can use Manual Scheduling instead, which does not have this limitation.

Steps

1. Open your workflow.
2. In the workflow settings, set Auto Publish Mode to: Repurpose content based on a schedule
3. In the Content Filter field, choose one of the following:

• Only Future Content: automatically publishes only new incoming content
• Existing Content: publishes only content that already existed on the source platform up to that point, ignoring future content
• All Content: publishes both existing and future content

4. Configure your publishing schedule, including: Days of the week and Publishing times (up to 5 publishing slots per day)
5. Save your changes.

Once enabled, Repurpose will automatically queue and publish content according to your configured schedule.

Important Notes About Auto Publishing

Once automatic publishing is enabled, the workflow starts operating immediately using the schedule you configured. At this time, it is not possible to set a workflow to begin auto publishing on a future start date.

You can enable auto publishing whenever you are ready for the automation to begin.

Can I upload a file directly to Repurpose?

Workflows set to auto-publish on a schedule are limited to 5 videos per day across all plans, with the exception of workflows using Snapchat as the destination, which allow up to 50 videos per day.

Where can I adjust the scheduled time slots and change the number of posts per day?

For workflows that publish content on a set schedule, you can adjust both the scheduled posting times and the number of daily posts within the workflow settings under the Publish tab.
