You can connect your TikTok account in two ways:

  • Option 1: While creating a workflow (recommended if you're setting up a workflow now)
  • Option 2: From the Connections page (recommended if you're prepping accounts ahead of time)

Option 1: Connect TikTok During Workflow Creation

1 - Go to the Workflows page and click Create a new workflow (top right).

2 - Choose your workflow type.

3 - Select TikTok as the source (left-menu) or destination (right-menu).

4 - After selecting, two things can happen depending on your situation:

  • If this is your first time connecting a TikTok account, you’ll be redirected to TikTok’s login page, or to the authorization page if you're already logged in to an account on the TikTok website.
  • If you’ve already connected TikTok accounts to Repurpose, a pop-up will appear with a list of those accounts. Just click Add new TikTok account to connect another one. You’ll be redirected to TikTok’s login page, or to the authorization page if you're already logged in to an account on the TikTok website.

5 - On the TikTok authorization screen, make sure the correct account is being authorized. If not, click Switch account under the profile image to log in to the right one.

6 - Accept the account access permissions (see more below).

7 - Click Continue to complete the connection.

⚠️ This connection method defaults to Direct Publish permissions. For more details, see the Publish Permissions section below.

Option 2: Connect TikTok from the Connections Page

1 - Go to the Connections page from the left side menu.

2 - Click Add a New Connection (top right).

3 - Select TikTok from the list.

4 - A pop-up will appear where you can optionally edit the connection name and switch between Direct Publish (selected by default) and Upload Draft permissions in the advanced settings (see more below).

5 - After clicking Connect, two things can happen depending on your situation:

TikTok Account Access Permissions: What to Accept?

Repurpose needs access to your TikTok account to fetch or publish content. Here's what to allow:

If you’re using TikTok as a Destination (to publish content):

We recommend granting all permissions to ensure everything runs smoothly and publishing stays automated.

If you're using TikTok only as a Source (to pull content):

You can stick with basic permissions only:

  • Access your profile info
  • Read public videos
  • View analytics
  • Read your username

TikTok Publish Permissions:

Direct Publish:

Repurpose will send your content directly to your TikTok account, publishing it automatically without manual steps.

Upload Draft:

Repurpose uploads your video to TikTok’s servers, but you must complete the publishing process manually on your TikTok mobile app. This is ideal if you want to add effects, captions, or manually control posting.
