Base - How to solve publishing errors

For users whose workflows are failing:


  1. Open the Base app on your phone.
  • Make sure you are logged into the same wallet/account you used to connect to Repurpose.


  1. Enable Base “beta/new mode” if you don’t see social features.
  • If you only see a simple wallet (no social feed / no handle), you are likely in legacy mode.
  • Use the special invite link/QR code you got from the email.
  • Turn on Base mode / beta mode in the app.


  1. Complete social onboarding to get an FID.
  • In the Base app, go through the social setup flow:
  • Create/add your social handle/username.
  • Finish any prompts related to enabling social / Farcaster.
  • This is the step that actually creates your FID. Without it, Repurpose will always fail.


  1. Test publishing again from Repurpose.
  • You don’t necessarily need to reconnect your Base account, but if posts still fail:
  • Disconnect Base in Repurpose.
  • Reconnect with Sign in with Base using the same Base account.
  • Then trigger a new post.


  1. If posts still fail after all of that:
  • Confirm:
  • You used the same wallet/account as in Repurpose.
  • You see your social handle inside the Base app.
  • Then contact support so further troubleshooting can be checked for.
