How to Connect Your YouTube Account in Repurpose
You can connect your YouTube account in two ways:
- Option 1: While creating a workflow (recommended if you're setting up a workflow now)
- Option 2: From the Connections page (recommended if you're prepping accounts ahead of time)
Option 1: Connect YouTube During Workflow Creation
1 - Go to the Workflows page and click Create a new workflow (top right).
2 - Choose your workflow type.
3 - Select YouTube as the source (left-menu) or destination (right-menu).
4 - After selecting, two things can happen depending on your situation:
- If this is your first time connecting a YouTube account, you’ll be redirected to Google’s account selection page.
- If you’ve already connected YouTube accounts to Repurpose, a pop-up will appear with a list of them. Click Add new YouTube account to connect another one, and you’ll be redirected to Google’s account selection page.
5 - Choose the channel (account or brand account) you want to connect.
6 - Select all permissions and click Continue to finish connecting your account.
Option 2: Connect YouTube from the Connections Page
1 - Go to the Connections page from the left side menu.
2 - Click Add a New Connection (top right).
3 - Select YouTube from the list.
4 - A pop-up will appear where you can optionally edit the connection name and switch between permissions in the advanced settings (see more below).
5 - After clicking Connect, two things can happen depending on your situation:
- If this is your first time connecting a YouTube account, you’ll be redirected to Google’s account selection page.
- If you’ve already connected YouTube accounts to Repurpose, a pop-up will appear with a list of them. Click Add new YouTube account to connect another one, and you’ll be redirected to Google’s account selection page.
6 - Choose the channel (account or brand account) you want to connect.
7 - Select all permissions and click Continue to finish connecting your account.
YouTube Permissions:
- Read-only is used for viewing videos only (no uploading allowed).
- Basic is used for viewing videos, upload videos, creating playlists, and uploading thumbnails.
- Full is similar to Basic with the added ability to upload your own subtitle files to YouTube and publish first comment.
