# How to Connect Your Snapchat Account in Repurpose

# You can connect your Snapchat account in two ways:

* **Option 1:** While creating a workflow (recommended if you're setting up a workflow now)
* **Option 2:** From the **Connections** page (recommended if you're prepping accounts ahead of time)

# Option 1: Connect Snapchat During Workflow Creation

1. Go to the [**Workflows** page](https://my.repurpose.io/) and click **Create workflow** (left side dashboard).
2. Choose your workflow type (Repurpose New Content or Existing Content).
3. Select Snapchat as the source (left-menu) or destination (right-menu).
4. After selecting, two things can happen depending on your situation:
* If this is your **first time connecting a Snapchat account**, you’ll be redirected to Snapchat’s login page.
* If you’ve already connected Snapchat accounts to Repurpose, a pop-up will appear with a list of those accounts. Just click **Add new Snapchat account** to connect another one. You’ll be redirected to Snapchat’s login page.

|| ℹ️ In both cases, if you’re already logged into a Snapchat account on the Snapchat website, you’ll skip the login page and go straight to the authorization page.

5. On the authorization screen, click **Continue** to finish connecting your account.

# Option 2: Connect Snapchat from the Connections Page

1. Go to the [**Connections** page](https://my.repurpose.io/connection) from the left side menu.
2. Click **Add a New Connection** (top right).
3. Select **Snapchat** from the list.
4. A pop-up will appear where you can optionally edit the connection.
5. After clicking **Connect**, two things can happen depending on your situation:
* If this is your **first time connecting a Snapchat account**, you’ll be redirected to Snapchat’s login page.
* If you’ve already connected Snapchat accounts to Repurpose, a pop-up will appear with a list of those accounts. Just click **Add new Snapchat account** to connect another one. You’ll be redirected to Snapchat’s login page.

6. On the authorization screen, click **Continue** to finish connecting your account.

# Known limitations imposed by Snapchat

* Vertical videos only up to 5 minutes
* Letterboxing is not supported

||| ⚠️ Letterboxing means that at least 70% of the vertical video must be actual video (not graphics, background or text).  

||| ⚠️ Videos that use letter boxing will publish but give a warning inside Repurpose.  These will be visible by you, but will NOT be visible by your followers.

# Troubleshooting

If you can't use your Snapchat connection after adding it, or if it's not the account you want to use, we recommend the following steps:

1. Open a new **incognito** window
2. Log in to [Snapchat](https://profile.snapchat.com/) first
3. Then, log in to [Repurpose](https://my.repurpose.io/)
4. Delete the current Snapchat connection and re-add it

# FAQ

### How does Auto Publish on a Schedule work for Snapchat workflows?
Snapchat workflows work a little differently with **Auto Publish based on a schedule**. While other platforms are limited to 5 slots per day and publish one video per slot, Snapchat allows up to 10 time slots per day, with each slot publishing 5 videos. The number of videos is fixed and cannot be changed.
